SWNJ PARTNERS WITH SUNCAP FINANCIAL TO OFFER AFFORDABLE LEASING OPTIONS TO HOMEOWNERS

Turnersville, NJ –SolarWorks NJ (SWNJ) recently announced its partnership with SunCap Financial, a company that offers homeowners low-cost leasing options when considering a solar produced energy system.
SunCap Financial, a company owned by NRG Energy – a Fortune 500 company that owns one of the country’s largest non-utility power generation businesses – teamed up with SWNJ to give New Jersey residents affordable options through a leasing program when considering a switch from electrical power to solar energy.
Leasing a solar energy system through this partnership can save customers thousands of dollars on electric bills and increase the property value of their homes.
This new program begins when homeowners receive a lease proposal from SWNJ based on the total price of the home solar energy system, available solar incentives and the homeowner’s qualifications. Once the homeowner agrees to the lease and receives credit approval, installation of the solar energy system will begin. During installation, the homeowner can either make a single prepaid lease payment or make affordable, fixed monthly lease payments.
Under the new residential leasing option, customers can choose between three different payment plans – a zero down payment plan, a down payment plan or a prepaid lease plan, all of which make solar energy an affordable option for any budget. While the zero down payment plan requires no payment upfront, the down payment plan gives customers the flexibility to choose how much they pay upfront for their solar energy system. If the prepaid lease plan is chosen, the owner makes one lump payment and owes nothing the rest of the term, but still enjoys all the benefits of leasing a home solar energy system. Leasing benefits with SWNJ include repairs, insurance, system warranty, a Power Production Guarantee and maintenance with no additional cost.
SunCap Financial will cover the installation cost, service repairs and warranties of the home solar energy system. Through its Power Production Guarantee, homeowners will be compensated if the installed solar system produces less than the guaranteed performance in the leasing contract. If the solar system produces more energy than originally agreed upon, the homeowner will pay no additional cost.
